Harmonica rocks!!!! Easy to learn... but one of the hardest to really master. Listen to this guy at www.tenhole.com for some great jazz on a diatonic overblow.

While it is not a toy and is (when played well) a beuatiful instrument, it has never been considered part of the orchestra, wind band idiom. the guy with Blues Traveler plays some hellacious harmonica.

it has mainly been considered a blues/ jazz/ rock/ pop kinda instrument.

Neither is your butt. I recommend inserting the harmonica into your rear and busting wind. It makes a great tune.

Best wishes,
