In order to be of some assistance to you, you need to give us a little more information. What grade are you in? How long does this research paper have to be? What are your teacher's expectations. "Music" is such a broad topic. Does anything go? Can you write about instruments, composers, songs, bands, music lessons? The list can go on forever. My suggestion to you is pick a topic that interests you. That way when you are finding your articles and searching on the Internet, you wont be board. It might also help to choose a topic that you know a lot about or want to learn about.
Give us some more information and we'll try to give you a hand.

toonz is absolutely correct. I might add that the whole idea of doing a research paper is for YOU to do the research, not us. Your teacher should given you tips and suggestions about the proper way to research for information.
