Its like i can count it no problem but I have to count ity slow but when it comes time to play it, I have a lil trouble. I read enough to get by but im not the best I want to get better can anyone give me some tips on how to read better and also to get louder? (I was told Long Tones and it helped but Is that the only way?)

How to get louder? Depending on the instrument: blow harder (brass and wind), press harder (string), or swing harder (percussion).
Very simplistic answers, but the fact is, there's no magic formula for getting better - it just takes practice. If you know what pieces you need to play for your audition to get into this band, then practice them at a slow enough tempo that you are able to play it correctly, then gradually speed it up until you are able to play it correctly at the right tempo.
