The saxophone is very interesting. I would know because I play saxophone for the sixth grade band @ Martin am third chair out of three players  but am better than one of them I just choose not to challenge them. My two friends play saxophone as well, Sam and Mattie. The saxophone is the best interment there is and is very  to play.

Lynne, as a band director myself I am glad to see you love the sax. I hope this turns into something you do your entire life. Go ahead and challenge your sax mates. They won't be mad if you beat them and it will make you all better players if you compete. My students have test almost every 2 weeks and they are always for chairs. I always tell my kids: If you don't like the chair you are in, practice more and beat somebody.
