Hi. I am a bassoon player, and I am currently playing Sonata in F minor by Georg Telemann, and i am having a terrible time tuning to the piano while I am playing. Any suggestions?

I'm not as familiar with the bassoon as the other winds. The first thing you might look at is your bocal too long or short. there are different lengths of bocals (as I'm sure you know). Are you out of tune with ANY piano or just the piano you are practicing with? Possibly THAT piano is out of tune. If this were a clarinet or flute I might think that the instrument needs adjusting. Pad height can affect tuning of certain notes. I'm not sure on bassoon.
