The voices of an orchestra or wind band are soprano, alto, tenor,and bass. I've never heard of any instrument refered as sopranino. The sopranino sax is not a common instrument in the wind band. Nor is the soprano in todays composing. The question was what is the highest voice in an instrumental family called.
