I have been playing sax for awhile so i decided to buy a used sax (in adition to my tenor), I bought an alto-sax which when i get to the low c and d even E it seems to jump the octive. I cant explain it. Its like every time i try and hit the notes it plays a high c d or e]
does anyone have a suggestion on what i should dO?

Check to see that no air is escaping from that little hole at the top of the neck when you are not pressing the octave key.
