Movie scores. Think how much would be missing in movies if the music wasn't there. Several experiments have been done by film producers to make a movie without music. Invariably it almost always fails.
Military funerals. I almost always cry when I hear Taps played at a funeral.
Circuses. The music for them always goes along with what happens in the ring.

Some restaurants use different types of music during different times to keep crowds moving. During a busy time, they'll play faster music to cause people to eat faster and leave sooner (so the restaurant can serve more people and make more money). And when they're not as busy they'll play slower music so people will stay longer, making the restaurant appear fuller (and more popular) for longer periods of time.
