i found myself in a desperate situation. i've always love music, i dream of playing music myself, but life didn't allow me to ... then i realize i have to go for my dream so i take orchestra this year in high school. unfortunately it's my senior year already and there aren't many chances to learn. i can't afford to have a private teacher. it's just like loving nothing else but music for my life but i just don't have the chance like others do. i wish i started to learn when i was little....i don't know what path i should walk on.

Well, I don't think you should give up if you really love playing and you seem to. It would be good if you could find somebody who would give you some lessons cheaply or even free ...anyone you know play violin as well?

Well, if the person giving the lessons understood your situation then they might do all they could to help you out.

I started playing piano at 42. It was my dream too. I never thought I could afford it. But you will find a way. Call around and get prices on lessons in your area. I bet you will find them to be reasonable. Private lessons can be less expensive than in a larger studio. You just have to do the legwork and follow your dream. Where I live piano lessons range from $9.50 and up. That's for a half hr a week. Don't give up, just go for it.
