Do you have any recommendations for teaching an adult how to match pitch in singing? I will be giving music instructions to a 30-year-old female who says she doesn't know how to make her voice come to the right pitch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If she can't match pitch,I would suspect a hearing problem. It could be physical or total/ partial tone-deafness. Matching pitch is a pretty natural thing.
Have her sing a common tune without music playing(twinkle little star). If it sounds odd then she has a tone deafness problem. If it sounds right melodically then it shouldn't be that hard for her to match pitch. I suspect tone deafness.
