I want to play the alto sax but i play flute my teacher says that I shouldn't swich but what I want to know... is it hard to switch from flute to sax

Actually the swith is fairly easy. There is the change in embouchure, but it's not that exremem for an smart player. The fingerings are very close between flute and sax. When I was in college several flautists played sax in the jazz bands.

Well changing from any instrument to another will be difficult but some easier then others. fortunately changing from flute to sax can be easy. The fingerings are similar.
