My son has a question for music class. Name the 5 groups of musical instruments and how one gets tone from these instruments. I have only known of 4 groups...woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion. Help!!

The five families of instruments are:
Woodwind
Percussion
Brass
Strings &
Keyboards
-Keyboards are oftentimes grouped into the percussion family. But sometimes they are referred to as there own family (i.e. pianos, organs, electric pianos, electronic keyboards, clavichords, harpsichords etc.)
