Scales are the same on all instruments!

For an example, the C Major Scale. This scale can be played on all instruments known to man!

there are 12 major scales and 12 minor scales, however the minor scales are played in 3 diferent but similar forms. there are also modes based on the piano without the black keys that can actually start on any key of the piano. with time and practice you can learn them. most peolple start with the major scales and then move to the minor. keys and scales are what music is made of. all music is is bits and pieces of scales, sometimes using an entire scale. for example "joy to the World" is a major scale going done. we use this to help young clarinet players get used to moving thier fingers and covering the holes.
