i really want to know what the highest note a viola can play and where it is on the staff, like how many ledger lines up and if the note's on a space or a line.

the highest range of a viola is a c,on the line 2 spaces above the the stave.

That's incorrect. The highest note in the viola's range is MUCH higher. It's way up the fingerboard. Basically what you could do is play the highest note which is physically possible, maybe at the very edge of the fingerboard. If it's really scratchy, just keeping inching your way lower until it's smooth and see hwat note it is. My guess is around F#, about 6 ledger lines above the top staff line, G. Of course in written music, the clef would be changed, since 6 ledger lines is rediculously high. Even for treble, but I mean, you asked for the highest!
