First, the word is spelled "intonation." Second, intonation can be developed with a little patience. Do you have a keyboard handy? If so, you can begin with a little game my mother and I played which I believe helped me develop relative/perfect pitch. In your daily travels, listen for sounds that have tone quality to it, in other words a note that you can sing. Try to sing that note by matching its tone and carry it with you until you can get to your keyboard. Take your keyboard and try to find the tone on the keyboard that sounds the closest/same to the tone you've heard and been singing. This is not an overnight exercise -- it took me years to develop my "perfect" pitch. It's just a start. Once you've gotten comfortable with this exercise, begin applying it to tones on the keyboard. From this, I was able to name any key on the piano played. This also begins to teach you to listen, not just hear, the notes. Soon, you'll be able to tell which note you're hearing is in tune or not. Just remember to be patient.
