HELP! I can't find any info on the history of the alto sax! Any information or websites would be much appreciated!

you should be able to go to any search engine (google, askjeevves, etc.) and put in "saxophone and history" and find mor ethan enough info. Basically it was invented by Adolph Sax (German) in the 1830's. He was also instrumental (no pun intended) in developing the valve system used on brass instruments today.
