what do tuned+ untuned mean?

To be "untuned" means that the instrument or person producing a sound is not in "sync" or the same as another person or instrument. To be in tune means that the person or instrument is regulated to a universal pitch (or sound) example A440. Usually, if there is a piano, the instruments that are played are tuned to the piano, and if in an orchestra, the instruments are tuned to an Oboe. If singing, you are usually in the "key" of the song that you are singing.
