#beginquote# I am a parent of a child who is just learning to play the baritone horn. I have a few questions I was hoping someone could answer. We are looking around at options to rent/buy and are confused with the may different styles of baritones that seem to fall under the same name. How do we know which type to buy? - Its a little hard for me to compare pictures to the one he has. What are some of the subtle differences. I believe he has a 1/2 size, does that make sense? Is there a progression of horns from when a player is a beginner to more advanced? Do most baritone horn players play the Tuba when they get to High School? thanks for any help you can offer! #endquote#
