#beginquote# #beginquote# I'm learning to read music and notes and such. Why are some notes upside down on the bars? Also, why are the notes arranged on the lines differently? Is that wher you put your fingers to play? Sorry, I'm a beginner and can't find this explanation. #endquote# well, as one person on here said, it depends on where the note is on the lines. also, it's placed on the different lines because that tells you what note(s) to play(except in the case of geberal percussion or drumset music, which uses different instruments such as bass drum, snare, congas, ect., and will normally tell you which one to play on that line) Band Geek, Drum Nerd=]♪♫♪♫ #endquote#
