Also, a few of our clarinet players play saxophone in jazz band, so I'd guess either of those would be a good bet to try. #endquote# Indeed, An Alto Saxophone can sound similar to an Oboe if the reed, ligature and embouchure is just right. An Alto can also sound similar to a French Horn also just matters on where you bite and again ligature and reed. In my concert Band we often double the French Horns and trying to sound as round as possible. #endquote#
