#beginquote# I suppose bongos would be the highest of the head drums (membranophones) and the bass drum or largest tympani the lowest. In the keyboards, orchestra bells would be considered the highest and marimba the lowest. I'm relating this to the traditional band/orchestra so if you are referring to some exotic instrument, who knows. Not sure what this relates to. Kind of a silly question to ask of a student from a teacher in my opinion, since percussion are not usually thought of as "highest" or "lowest" pitch. This sounds like a question from a teacher to a student. We get a lot of these. #endquote#
