#beginquote# hello! I'm in gr 8 and for a final project we must do chance music. basically we were given a huge sheet of paper, and we're asked to drop pennies randomly all over the sheet. next we had to draw in three bars of music down the page and to pick a clef to go with each bar plus a time Sig. then we were to use the circles we traced from the pennies and use them as the notes that should go with the time sig obviously. its a pretty simple project but to me where i dont understand where to start its extremely frustrating. i checked out ur beat counting and time signature page abd they were somewhat useful but i still dont get what to do. i know i want to use the time sig. 3/4 but does this mean there would be three sections in the one bar with 4 beats in each one? im sorry but im so hopelessly confused. and what do u mean by the "eighth note gets the beat" or watever? *so confused* id ask my teacher but he'd take marks off if i sound this confused and will be wondering where ive been these past years :) unfortunately i never got it from the start... hopefully you can clear things up a bit THANKS!:? #endquote#
