#beginquote# Hey there. The recorder should not need tuning. They are made in different keys, and should have the proper pitch when assembled as intended. Also, in cleaning, look in the mouthpiece. You should see a block in there that can be pushed out with a pencil, or your giant needle. This allows you to clean the airways properly. This is the "block" that gives the recorder its classification as a Block Flute. Push it out from inside the mouthpiece. Dave Smith #endquote#
