#beginquote# well the lips do most of the work for brass instruments the breathing part is that you have to blow harder for high notes because your lips get tighter which cause u to use more force to get air out of your mouth to your horn. the buttons open and close valves which give you the lower and higher notes depending which valves open. you can practically play a song without using any buttons. just take the bugle for instince. all those songs written for the bugle don't need buttons to change. hope this helped > Trumpets rule < *Saxophones are OK* Bandito for life #endquote#
