#beginquote# I am a 28-year-old woman who has always loved to pick at any musical instrument I can get my fingers on. I just CAN'T pass a piano without touching the keys, making some noise, but it ends up being nothing but that.....noise. I really want to learn to play the keyboard. I got a really nice one for my birthday, but it's like learning a foreign language, and isn't that harder the older you get, too? How do I teach myself to play if I know NOTHING about music? Anyone have any tips or want to be my teacher, PLEASE let me know. My memory stinks. Can I actually expect that I will learn notes, how to read music, etc? What the heck is a treble clef? Or a clef at all!? Is that a really stupid question? :-( I feel discouraged, but I really want to make more than noise, I want to play a real song, and not just one note at a time, picking out Mary had a little lamb and the birthday song. I would really appreciate any advice at all. THANKS! ~Melynda in Chester, VA Remember Your Soul #endquote#
