#beginquote# I'm 41 years old and starting to plan for a second career. I've always wanted to be a high school band director. I am currently taking lessons on my principal instrument -- flute. I will probably start piano in the next year or two. I was looking for suggestions for BME programs. I already have a Master's degree -- but Latin American Studies is not going to help me much here. Here are some guidelines. 1. I would prefer a medium to small school. 2. I would like the program to have a strong "marching band education" component. I am in good shape so I could march if required. 3. I would like a program receptive to...ahem...older students. I don't really want to have to go back and take undergraduate "electives". 4. All things being equal, I would prefer a school in the Midwest, but that is not a mandatory requirement. Thanks in Advance, Bob K #endquote#
