#beginquote# I grew up playing classical guitar in my youth. Now, I'm in my late 30's and still interested in music, but with a couple of new problems. One: I had an auto accident several years in which I sustained a pretty good head injury. Fine now, but there are certain things I simply cannot remember, one of which being the ability to read music. So I'll sort of be starting from scratch. Two: Many years ago while serving in the military, I was a bit too close to a rather large explosion. One of the end results was nerve damage to my left hand. Not anything severe or disabling, but I have noticed a marked decrease in finger speed on that hand, rendering most guitar pieces useless to me. So at the moment, I'm considering some other strings, such as violin, viola, or cello, as well as woodwinds, specificially the oboe. Any advice for me out there? #endquote#
