#beginquote# The way the competition was televised, only parts of the pieces performed were broadcast - and it was I couldn't get the names of everything. One piece that caught my attention was Prokofiev Piano Concerto 1, I know that's not the proper way to write it, wished they would have shown the young lady playing the entire concerto. Pieces from Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaniov, Schumann and others - you know how they do things - they show the name of the pieces while it's being played - and naturally my attention is on the performer not the bottom of the screen. One contestant play something from the Nutcracker Suite, why I don't know - these judges are looking for the three B's etc., in fact one of the judges spoke with a young lady and suggested she play something else. It would have been great to hear these talented young musicians play a short piece all the way through. Guess it's the nature of the beast. :) #endquote#
