#beginquote# OK, what she is talking about is Intervals and Chord Degree names, which are both based on the eight notes of the scale, and the first note is the Tonic. The easiest way to understand the 1, 5?..(I think maybe she said 4) and 57 chord pattern is the think of the Intro to La Bamba: after the first three notes the first chord is a 1, the second chord is a 4, and the third chord is a 57..in C (CDEFGABC), the chords would be C, F, and G7.
