#beginquote# The Dorian Mode is an example of early music, prior the eight note scale. Modes are named after the ancient greek tribes: ie Locrian, Phrygian (sp?) Mixolidian. A Doriam Mode is in effect an off-set Major Scale. An example of common chord usage across a Dorian would be Maj 7ths and 9ths. Baruch 3:14 #endquote#
