#beginquote# ..but if you want to take the easy way, the reason a poer chord is called a 5th is because it contains a tonic and a 5th note. The name of the tonic note will give you the key, because unless your sond is ""unresolved"", ie: does not resovle to the tonic,and power chords are majors the tonic note (the note on the 6th string your index finger is playing)is the key your song is in. So, if you end on a G5th with your index finger on the 3rd fret on the 6th string, the song is in G Maj. Take me to your Lieder... #endquote#
