#beginquote# Luckily for me the only scales I dislike are the ones that tell me my weight. I don't mind practicing my scales because when I write songs I automatically know what key it is in and my fingers automatically go to the note I need. Being able to do that makes them all worth while. Sure, scales are monotonous, so a good way to deal with them is to practice them differently each time. For example I practice them as 16th notes. Or I can practice them as triplets or in thirds. I am sure you could come up with different ways to practice them to avoid boredom. Does anybody else have any suggestions as to how to make practicing scales less boring? #endquote#
