#beginquote# This is just my opinion, but I think scales are probably the most important part of practicing any instrument. We need the monotny of repetition, because music is formed around the scales. The scales teach the fingering techniques necessary to perform the music properly. entire musical compositions can be built on scales. Your teacher is right on in telling you to practice the scales. I am a fragment of my imagination #endquote#
