go flat. Of course, you don't want to overdo it, or you might go sharp! My choir director when I was growing up always told us to envision the notes we were trying to sing as balls, and he told us to always sing like we were trying to hit the top of the ball with our pitch. If anything, this would keep you sharp, but since most people naturally (forgive the pun) go flat, the idea is that singing slightly sharp will cancel your flat tendencies. #endquote#
