#beginquote# Well, you have to learn the different kinds of notes. The note with a black circle means 1 beat, the note with a circle that isn't shaded means 2 beats; that means you hold it for two beats. A squiggly line is a rest for one beat, and a hat-looking note is a rest for two beats. If you don't know what the notes are on the lines, then find a chart that tells you. The note G is on the bottom line of the four lines. #endquote#
