#beginquote# Well that is a personal opinion, you shouldn't just do what someone else prefers. What kinds of sounds do you like? High pitched sounds, or low, bassy sounds? Smooth, sweet and expressive, or thundery, loud and majestic? Use these factors to figure out what you want to play. For instance, when I was little I always enjoyed the strong, thundery bass sounds of classical music. When I was in 6th grade, I was able to choose from a wide spectum of band or orchestra instruments. I decided I wanted something powerful and bassy, but also something that could play high, beautiful melodies. This brought me to the cello. So you know, that's just an example. Good luck with choosing! #endquote#
